6 AUC Z4MC's available - Are they going up?
Discussion
Ive been noticing this too. Got to be good news for those fo use lucky enough to already own one.
Although better value can still be found with the last 5(some of these overlap AUC car) on Auto trader: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/BMW/...
Funny thing is, some of these cars are at BMW main dealers but not appearing on the AUC search.
Dick Lovett Bristol(where I bought mine has nice Imola one with what look like shadow chrome CSL's, although it does have that horrible aluminium trim.
Nice Colour combo of the one at JCT600, must be nice to buy it from a Ferrari dealer, although its probably the cheapest car they have.

I think that the introduction of the ugly, overweight, boulevard cruiser, jack-of-all-master-of-none, Z4 folding hard top replacement will mean that the outgoing Z4MC will hold it's value will.
I think that the original breadvan Z3M Coupe is already close to modern classic territory, and the Z4MC could follow. That comparison is certainly closer that comparing to the CSL. The CSL values are very strong at the moment, however could be shattered (to a stable level in the high teens) if a new CSL came along, and was well received.

Sorry about slagging off your interior trim.

Sorry about slagging off your interior trim.
No problem. It's not exactly the colour combo I would have gone for personally, but I couldn't be too choosy as they're not exactly thick on the ground.I was very tempted by the white one in Leeds, but it's a bit too expensive for me and not enough toys.
For the past 5/6 weeks I've been looking at the AUC site and there was only about 3/4 available. Recently, quite a few more have popped up.

What do you know about the CSL wheels on your new one?

Hi,
Just checked out the BMW AUC's and there are only 6 cars cheapest being not a great spec, an 06 and listing at £23,995.

I collected mine almost a fortnight ago and love it. Imola red with "champagne" leather - looks lovely. 08 plate, low mileage car from dealer in the Midlands.
To my mind (and with a liberal helping of "man maths") they're a very good used buy - a nine month old for almost 40% less than list price when new. And even better if it looks like prices will hold up well over the next couple of years. Whether they have "future classic" status perhaps depends on your view of whether the 3.0Si Z4C diluted the model - a problem the Z3MC doesn't have (well, in the UK at least).
Did close on 500 miles over the Easter weekend and loved every minute. The shift into second is notchy (which I gather is a common "feature"), and the phone prep seems to have pitifully poor compatibility... but that really is all I can think of to complain about and I need a new phone anyway. Fabulous car, incredible grip, lovely through the twisty bits, wonderful exhaust note. Looking forward to a trip down to Italy in it in July!
Sorry... I think I've edged off topic...
