Broken down? or is that where you got your garage?

hi bernie,
no luck yet. Iv left the slave cylinder off and hanging below the clinder so hopefully any bubbles in it have moved up. Im going back this weekend to have another go, i will report back soon.

Thanks again for the help.

im not sure if its a bleeding issue or a clutch issue, when i press the pedal in its hard for the first inch then it moves freely, and similar when re engaging the cluch, the first bit of the travel is fine but the last inch just snaps back!

all ideas are welcome! bernie has suggested a few tricks for bleeding it which im trying at the moment

Have you tryed an ezie bleed kit? it works of a spare tyre pressure and pushes fresh fluid through the system, it was the only way i could get one of my old mg clutches to work. if you would like to borrow it you are most welcome as i am not far away in Wycombe.
Graeme
Just been thinking about this but if it was a bleeding issue the pedal would not snap back when released unless there is some sort of blockage in the system.

I did the initial bleede with an eezy bleede kit. The piston is working fine, the more i look into it the more it points towards an engine out job frown

How long has the Car been standing or is it a new build(kit)?
Just checked your profile so no need to answer above.
If the engine and box have been standing a while the problem may be rust on the shaft splines causing the peadal to act as you described, will you not be able to split the box from the engine whilst in the car?
