HMP can not even keep people inside at Broadmoor what chance is their that they can keep this guys inside ?

Given that they only recovered 18 of the 140 cars that were stolen and that the longest individual sentence handed out was only 6 years (out in 3-4yrs?) you'd imagine that the theives will think they pretty much got away with it.

Some 122 cars stolen by the gang are still out there somewhere. Incredible when you think about it.

Probably the 18 cars recovered had some sort of tracking system.
