Anyone come across the ABS light coming on intermittently on the Puma, it's a 2001 car and just wondered if it was a serious problem or easily remedied. Think the engine was steam cleaned and not sure if it has been happenning after that.

Also, how much would it be to fix it.

Cheers

Very common on this ABS set up. If you are lucky it will be a bit of debris between the ABS ring and the sensor, spray with some brake cleaner, job done, or it will be one of the 4 sensors, you will need to get the car on a diagnostic machine to find out which sensor has the fault then change it. Fronts easier to do than rear, i got two new fronts off E-Bay for £39.99 each, Ford will want around £100/110 each IIRC. It will take about 45 minutes to do, maybe longer if the sensor don`t come out or the retaining nut snaps biggrin
