seems rather sluggish, so went to the usual speedtest site and seems that PH is kaput, soooo glad that do not have to make it even slower by suffering the inane adverts smile

We had a few problems with the database servers yesterday which caused all the problems you saw.

We've tweaked the classified code to make the site run faster, which has solved the problem for now and we have a new database server undergoing testing at the moment which will give us a some reserve power for future.

Ooh! You have enough power and resources to hold some back in reserve? Good news indeed. wink When do we see the benefit?

We always try to have at least one more database server and one more web server than we need so that if one fails or needs to be turned off for maintenance the site can keep running without it.

So no speed benefit, just a reliability one!

hehe

This is the main topic, I've closed the others so that we aren't having the same discussion in four different places!
