cherry bomb or straight through exhaust
Discussion
Hi guys I am wondering what the difference in sound would be between the two exhaust pipe conversions, I have just had the center box removed and two straight through pipes put in its place (kept the center box just incase I ever want to reverse it.
The car sounds great but I think it may be a little too loud on long journeys.

I'd go for cherry bombs... It adds a nice depth/throaty character which sounds like an extra couple of litres from your engine. Slightly quieter, but with a full decat its still bloody loud. I really recommend the ACT stuff if you're looking to buy... Top quality and sounds the business
I had Offords 'Sports Exhaust' conversion done 18 months ago on my 96 Griff. I love the sound it makes. I had it tested at 106/107 db's and use ACT silencers for track days (reduces by 10 db's) It hits a roarty note at about 2200rpm and gets very snorty above 4000. But cruising at 70/80 at 3000rpm is almost as quiet as pre-mod. Best value mod so far.
