As it says really.

I recently lost my job, had to sell my Chimaera, getting a little down about things.

Then, i get the offer to the key to my very own Westy from a very dear friend of mine who now lives abroad. I sold it to him 8 years ago, its keen in a container for the last 3 years.

Im expecting a wreck, and obviously money is very tight at present, but if any kind hearted soul local to Milton Keynes have an hour to advise/ show me a good one/ have a pint and discuss the best way to getting her back on the road i would be eternally grateful. (beer on me of course)

Failing that, ANY info on X flow, wiring, carpet suppliers and so on VERY much appreciated.

You may be pleasantly surprised at the condition your car is in,as long as the container is water tight there should be very little serious degradation, apart from tyres, battery, etc; the tyres should not have perished in the dark ,so the major problem is likely to be slow punctures and the obvious flat-spotting from not having moved for several years.
Would definitely be worth replacing the brake fluid as well.
As for the rest of it, a full engine service, followed by a gentle coaxing into life will more than likely sort things out,a check of the braking system would put your mind at rest and the carbs will probably need de-gunging as well.
Good luck!!
