Just bought a replacement for this 04/05 model Yachtmaster and looking to sell on at some point. Todays RRP seems to be a little over £5.5k, condition is very good and I'd be prepared to have it serviced as part of the deal......so, anyone with an idea of a reasonable value? Best list it here or on ebay???

I'm no expert, but I think that being a bi-metal is going to kick its residuals in the goolies a bit.

Yup - Bi-metal's not going to help.

Was it considered nice in 2004 (to anyone bar the OPer hehe )?

Yeah, it's always confused me a little as both the missus, friends of ours and I love the bi-metal Rolexes. Seen a lot of polarised comments on here about it, but don't really want to turn 'this' thread into a taste-bashing one......if ye's don't mind!

Each to his own jshell, so long as you like it that's all that matters - but it is, as you say, a watch which polarises. Good luck.

When it comes down to it, and this is the point of the thread, taste will determine its value, surely?

Strongly influence for certain.

That fact is that Bi-metal is just not that popular at the moment, unless you're of the age group that also likes Volvo's & Rovers wink

Actually, judging by the number of PM's I've had in the last couple of days there does seem to be a 'taste' for the 'bi'-side! So, looks like I won't need to advertise it after all. smile

But, thanks all for the help and encouragement!
