I was travelling (quite legally) down a dual carriageway last night (one of these stupid ones with a 40 limit), on the other side of the road was a Talivan with all his cones etc... parked at the end of a bus stop with the camera sticking out of the back. parked behind (or before) the van was a police volvo, what was the purpose of that??, seems like a little waste of resources to me. I'm sure it would be argued by the operator that he was allowed to operate both at night, and in the bus stop. maybe the pold was 'protection'?
There is no real point to this post I was just bemused as to why the van needed a car aswell!!

At least when there's a bloody great lemon curd sandwich parked next to the cameras you can see them!
