I believe that it is possible but it requires a new roll-bar cover. No idea as to the price, but I think the roof alone is several hundred of you buy it from Lotus.

Do you mean on an S1? If so, you'll not find any off the shelf parts so you'll be on your own however I heard rumours that Eliseparts are developping a kit.

its for a S2, i've seen a turbo technics one in the classifieds but has the long roof which would be a deal breaker for me so just looking into options available

Personally I think the long roof looks better and having owned both an S1 and S2 with the long roof and an S2 with the short roof there is very little difference in fitting and removing with the S2. You don't need any tools just need to flick two levers at the back to tension it.

The main (only?) advantage in the short roof is that you can remove it from within the car. There's no-where to put it if you have a passenger though.

i prefer the short roof look and if im spending 20k, i want it to be the one i really want rather than making do with one

A Turbo Technics car which is as old as to have a long tail roof for 20k?

Theres a Honda Charge Cooled Supercharged 135R with massive spec on SELOC for just over 20k.

Ive seen Turbotechnics cars going for well under 15k.

i've been looking at a Honda'd car for £21,500 which is just too much above budget and have put an offer in which the guy selling will accept but not until 2 guys from Europe have been over to see it. As i much as i want to hang on for that one i'm getting fed up not having a car hence why looking the red turbo rechnics once (although decided against that one after looking into it a bit more)

will pop over to seloc and try and find the one mentioned on there

cheers

Andy
