How have your hobbies changed over the years and has there ever been a hobby that has lasted all the way through?

Hobbies deteriorated a bit due to constraints on time via work and my OH also placing further constraints on my time.

I still play computer games (when I have the time) which I have done since I were a nipper and had an Atari 2600 biggrin

Things like radio controlled cars and planes etc.. I used to play with but don't anymore.

I guess Cars are more of a hobby now.. Well, driving.

I built a Tamiya Vanessas Lunchbox 2 years ago. Since then we've moved into the flat and had a baby etc...

the lunchbox hasn't been painted yet and its never even been run. frown

It'll probably end up as a toy for baby monkey.

I believe finding spelling mistakes and posts that have been been written before is a new hobby for many, but I don't see the appeal myself.

Old hobbies that are gone and never likely to reappear:

and finally things I'd like to do but haven't got around to yet:

Current:

Wildlife/nature - all aspects, mostly attempting photography at the moment.
Mountainbiking - getting back into it slowly after years of not riding
Cars - only just started treating the car as any kind of hobby, sure this will be one hobby that lasts though.
Guitar - playing again after years of not bothering much
PC games - hardly playing at the moment but occasionally still enjoy shooting things

Will be taking up soon (funds/time allowing):
Skiing - been this year, hopefully will be an annual/biennial trip
Scuba diving - not been for 10years, will be going again shortly!
Shooting - some time in the future I hope to join a rifle club, always looked fun, relaxing and quite skillful
Drawing - only tend to do this when on holiday and have the time, would like to be a lot better and think I could be with a bit of help and practice

Gone forever:
Badminton
Climbing - used to climb a lot (Avon gorge, Wye valley etc) but doubt i'll ever be in the same shape I was when I was 18 and better things to spend money on than the gear.
Skateboarding - far too scared of hurting myself and looking crap
Recorder playing - quit when I was 9 and can;t see me ever taking it up again...

D'oh, forgot about Scuba (but then this is a holiday hobby) and keeping marine fish (more of a vocation than a hobby I think!).. These are things I started as an adult.
