Has anybody any recommendations for the upgrading of the rear brakes on a Chimaera/Griffith at all? Done the fronts and want to bring the rears into line. Thinking of same size replacement disc with different calliper. I know a few have upgraded the fronts and like myself would like to do similar with rears. Cheers.

yes I've got the 300mm Compbrake kit. Bolts straight on biggrin It's still early doors so I can't review them very well I'm afraid but the car certainly seems more balanced.

Discussed here

To add to what's already on there, I ended up having to file the calipers as they were scuffing the discs under cornering (that's a lot of twisting going on somewhere!)

I've just swapped to a different compound on the front but once I've had time to bed them in I should be able to give a final verdict.

Cheers so far guys, but 'DON1' I think you may have 5 stud discs if from the Tamora with 16" spider set up. Is that so? Correct me if I'm wrong only, I'm looking at retaining the original 4 stud set up. Any other ideas before I decide? Was thinking of the Hi-Spec upgrade but have conflicting reports about it, also same story when I've spoke to them. Any more takers/experiences?

I have always been led to believe that the chim is rear biased in the first place therefore uprating the fronts in isolation achieved a better braking balance anyway. Certainly simply upping fronts made mine feel better.
