Getting the RRP for my '05 CV8 in a couple of weeks at the Fishy People. I see an option to add Heavy Duty Front Drop Links for an extra £120+

www.monkfishperformance.co.uk/heavydutydroplinks.html

Has anyone noticed a particular handling improvement with the HDD Links compared to the standard RRP kit or are they just cosmetic and sound like a good idea?

Also, would it be worth adding the rear anti-roll bar poly-bushes?

Have you already got the road response pack on yours or getting it all done at the same time?

No, only the front for now until funds allow. I went for a drive in the Demo a few weeks ago and it felt half the size of mine. I don't know if its got the links though.

Was it the CV8 or the VXR one you had a go in? CV8 has the lowering springs aswell from what can see.

It was the VXR. I think he also said it had standard springs.

Got back from Monkfish last night. First of all thank you to Ant and Roger at Monkfish for their work and patience yesterday, it was very much appreciated. In my opinion the Road Response pack along with the heavy duty drop links make a huge difference to how the car feels and handles. The car rolls alot less and is far more responsive through the bends. I drove the 290 miles back last night and the car was a joy. It also seems to have shrunk in size and no longer feels like the barge it felt like before. High speed stability is also greatly improved although dont expect it to get rid of the tramlining on poor road surfaces. On decent road surfaces the car was as straight as a dart. I would also mention that I have the Monkfish quick rack steering fitted and the turn in is loads sharper. I would highly recommend getting these upgrades done. It really does transform the car into something more suited to twisty british roads.

I got the Road Response Pack but went back for the Quick Rack and Rear End Pack. The QR should be top of anyone's list.

My next handling mod will be the new Extreme X Coilovers. But I need to get the next power hike done first.
