Fuel Pump Surpressor

Busy today !

When I took the fuel pump & filter off there was a small suppressor connected from a flying lead off the positive terminal of the pump grounded by the fuel filter bolts.

I would have expected the Bosch fuel pump to have a suppressor fitted so is the external one needed ?

I disconnected mine about 5 years ago, with no obvious effect.

I'll cut the flying lead off before I put it all back together.

It's ok, unless you listen to AM radio. plus side if you do put radio on AM you can listen to the pump
