Is it genuine? 87K seems cheap to me (not that I have the money). I thought 959’s we silly money territory for collectors only?

No, that is bang on the money.

Remember, cars are only worth what people will pay for them, and traditionally lucrative industries like IT have been having hard times for a few years now.

You could get an XJ220 for that money if you looked hard enough, as well.

There was a 959 buyers guide in 911 & PW this month. 87,500 is a pretty reasonable price. The others they were quoting were about the 95k mark.

Some were advertised at up to 160k, but they suggested that they were being advertised by owners who didn't really want to sell, but would do if somebody with more money than sense came along

So just out of curiosity how would this beast stack up against a new 996 for the same money over a lap on a track? IIRC correctly this is about Turbo price and the GT3's a about 15K less new?

Obviously the running costs would be much higher than a 996.

So they've dropped the price to shift it quickly then. Offer them £20k. I'm sure they'll jump at it

The article was quite interesting. Running costs are huge though. It doesn't look like there's a single part that costs less than 5 grand

The general consensus is that it would be about level with a 996TT wit the X50 gubbins, but sadly lacking against the GT2/3
