Saw this over the weekend and really enjoyed it. The somewhat cliched music and spontaneous dance outbrakes may take it a little close to Austin Powers on occasions, but they do give it a suitably, er, groovy feel. Best new film I've seen in ages. smile

Agree - saw it last Sunday and really enjoyed it. Shame there was only me and Mrs DC and 5 other people in the cinema...

Great cast helped...

Cheers

Saw it the other week and thought it was brilliant - very funny script, great cast and good acting.

The young guy in it will probably have a decent career ahead of him.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is brilliant, effortlessly cool in this film.

I must say, as much as i usually like Bill Nighy, his one character which he plays is starting to wear a little thin now....

Worth the cinema visit, or wait until it comes out on torrent DVD?

I thought it was OK but only really picked up in the last hour. Not sure whether Richard Curtis should bother with directing again, better off sticking to scriptwriting methinks.

It's never going to be remembered as one of Curtis' finer moments, but it was enjoyable - mainly because it was well acted and the little snippets of people dancing were quite good. The story was barely there.
