Is it because of the new format or the fact that lots of people are on holiday?

Each thread seems to hang around on the front page for ages.

What's going on?

I love the fact there are a few threads full of people with not a lot of postings under their belt saying it's not very lively biggrin

What did you all do in the P&P just sit and watch?

I hate to turn this into another P&P bashing topic but here goes...

I think it mainly is because P&P has been segregated so much. It was brilliant having such a rich variety of topics to be able to browse in the old P&P, certainly why I spent so much time in there. I will admit that since the change I have ventured into maybe two other sections that I didn't used to frequent, but P&P as we know it has definitely died.

The problem is that there generally is two types of forum users, those who use the 'New Topics' links to browse through topics, and those who just go in certain sections that interest them. For the first group the change won't have affected them much, since all the topics are still there. For the latter group, it is just too divided, far too many sections to have to browse through to try and pick out the few topics that might catch your eye.

Maybe people are actually using the car related bits of the site now?

Since the P&P shakeup, I've been adventuring into GG and other places a little more. It's more educational, interesting and TBQH less of a waste of time staring at often rubbish threads which you feel inclined to read through habit!

Try having a look around other parts of this place, there is LOTS to see and learn as well as actually interesting people to interact with smile

Piston Heads and the P&P has been ruined - that's why it's quiet.

I think its Easter as most Forums seem to be quite, and people sulking because of the change to try and prove a point.

I've pretty much given up on the whole thing. If it reverts to the P&P of old I'll be back but until that I really can't be bothered.

I deffo agree with this.
I was/am the latter. I loved logging onto P & P with no idea what i was gonna end up reading..
It was the random element that made it fun.

Agree totally.
The random element, which made P&P great, has been lost

I have a dream .. when all the little sub-topics can join together again in one wholly random cluster-f8k. Or something along those lines.
