Had some airfield traning on Monday with the god that is Andrew from www.1stlotus.com.

Me and three mates with a very wet airfield and an ex F1 test driver to ourselves is a recipe for mucho fun!

Learnt an awful lot, and now feel happy driving the M3 sideways at 50mph plus (although it has to be said that I lost it more times than I caught it!!)

Amazing fun, and really really good value for money - the most amazing thing was when he first drove the M3, into a left hander at 75mph in the wet, into a tiff-tastic slide with full opposite lock (I heard the wheel hit the stops!) and held it there, steering with the throttle, and got it back into a straight line wih the minimal of effort!!

I was v pleased with the car, we all had rear wheel drive cars, but the lotus and MR2 lacked the power to have real fun, and the Boxster S was just far too well balanced, and was very reluctant to let you get silly.

Some crappy photos here (was a horrid day but perfect weather for saving tyres!)

Good post!

Looking forward to doing this in the new year. I'll have a 4-5 hr drive home afterwards - is that sensible? I can imagine feeling knackered after a full day doing that. Any B&B recommendations?
