depends what you mean by best?

if you mean as entertainment then the HB stuff is good

for stuff to try it'll be Saturday Kitchen, JO (as it's more italiancentric) and that really annoying chinese woman (Ching I think her name is) from Chinese Made Easy

Rick Stein's French Odyssey, or indeed any other programs by him.
Hairy Bikers are a laugh - less cooking, more larking about than other cooking shows

Used to like the Naked Chef but looking back at it, its almost a pisstake of itself now, all that 'Pukka' and 'Alwight geezer' stuff.

I can't stand Gary Rhodes. Something about the way he speaks makes me angry.

HFW is my pick, simply because I have a great urge to do the full River Cottage thing. Heston's great for bonkers stuff you'd never actually get round to doing. Rick Stein is great comfort telly. The F word is a really good mix of chat and cookery and the only "competition"/reality cookery show I can stand, Ramsey's other progs are ste* IMO. Saturday Kitchen... you're kidding, I don't get to sit in front of the box during the day.

*That's a little unfair, Kitchen Nightmares is strangely watchable.

I like Floyd, I find far too many shows don't show you how or what they are cooking, they present a plate of cooked food and say there you go thats how it's done.

Blimey yes I'd forgotten about him. Very entertaining and never more than an arm's reach away from a bottle of wine, no matter where he was in the world. smile

Massive fan of Rick Stein. Also Anthony Boudain is a great TV presenter and food writer, well worth checking out.
