TAMORA CLUTCH??!

Would appreciate any help if possible...

I was driving on the weekend (Tamora 2002) and randomly, i couldn't get the gear stick into any gear!! I had to push the car to the kerb and was left stationary. I checked the clutch fluid behind the pedals and all was fine. In addition to this, there is still pressure in the clutch pedal, felt totally normal.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be?? Has the clutch gone? Or does this sound like something else?

Also, if it is the clutch, where would be best to get one from?

Really appreciate any advice as i've only had her for 1 month

Bad timing.

Sounds like the clutch has gone. Best place to get one from is your nearest dealer.

It's a 20 000 mile ish item and when it goes it needs replacing.

I just had the same problem with my Sag, turned out it was the slave cylinder.

Exactly what happened to me during London Thunder. I could not engage 1st gear whilst the engine was running. In the end I had to slot it into 1st gear first and then start the engine. Managed to get the Tamora home, but had to be relayed to David Hendry. They said 6 fingers on the clutch had distintergrated - needed a new clutch.

Standard AP clutch is still the most durable in my experience compared to Raceproved, but a much improved slave cylinder is available from Raceproved (they often supply to dealers)

Hey Lee, Yeah got her back, but still needed a new clutch anyway Damage was close to 1.5K, but warranty covered the bulk. Must admit, that was a good purchase. Martin at TGA was great.

That is exactly the combo my dealer recommended, felt much more positive in its action compared to standard. Of course the new owner of my car is now enjoying it and not me. Sob.

I was quoted £607 and £268 respectively...that too much??

That seems about right but do shop around, you might well be able to get it cheaper.
