Due to a freak set of circumstances, it seems my 6th annual visit to Le Sarthe will be spent on my own this year! What was planned to be 8 of us attending has dwinled down to just one, but like a true petrolhead I shall not be detered, I shall go to Le Mans, drink beer, enjoy the sun (hopefully) and indulge in my annual fix of 24 hour racing heaven!

This of course means I have a spare seat or two going in my car, leaving Hertfordshire for Dover early Wednesday 10th , and returning Monday 15th. I would also be happy to share my pitch in Karting Nord.
People who don't like fast driving, beer drinking and BBQ's need not apply wink

So if anyone see's a bloke on his own with a stupidly stickered up 9-5 Aero, it's probably me so give me a wave.

A stupidly early crossing on Wednesday! When do you board on the way back?

I don't need a seat but I'm in KN. Feel free to pop over for beers.

So, whilst the 'billy mode' is a tad unfortunate, why in heaven aren't you taking that Lotus??!!!

My crew have also dipped out this year so I've decided to take a year out. I doff my cap at your determination! smile

I did this back in 2002, and still enjoyed myself. Besides, you know what its like:

1) share a beer with your neighbours. You'll soone be friends
2) give a nice comment on someones car, share a beer, you'll soon be friends
3) Come and find us on Houx, bring some beer....

Hi mate. We are in Karting Nord, 4 of us instead of, er, more than 4 of us. two of our group are going on Tuesday and the other (sensible) two of us are going on Thursday. If you look out for this Supra, it kinda stands out stickered-up even at Le Mans, come on over for a few beers or even try to pitch next to us. Dont worry, we are not Max Power readers........

You need to have a t-shirt made up "Hi, my names Boolay, beer?"

That way anyone could spot you wherever you are and just tap you ont he shoulder and say hello.

I'm part of a group of 21, and I shall also be heading down from Hertfordshire at stupid o'clock Weds am and returning on Monday the 15th, also in a very stickered up Saab... But we're going via Norfolklines Dover-Dunkirk though, and staying in Houx Annexe.

Fair play.

I thought I might be in a similar boat this year, but heading down with two others now.

I was determined though to still go even if it was only me.

Not staying on circuit or would have said come and say hello.

Alright mate.
We're crashing at Beausejour. Hopefully 6 of us with a TVR, a L200 and a Range Rover classic in gulf racing colours. Feel free to join us for a beer or two. We'll be the one's with the pirate flag above our pitch.

What time is your crossing? Would be good to see another Saab on the way.

Gonna try and tag myself onto a convoy to make the journey down a bit more interesting!

We're on the 6am ferry Dover-Dunkirk. There'll be 8-9 cars in our convoy, meeting at the Jet Garage in Cockfosters at 3am and heading from there. If that fits in with your travel times, you're welcome to get involved! Also we'll all have two way radios in the car so bring one of those to join in on the general waffle/BS/banter along the way biggrin

They don't tend to be overly scheduled, it's more a matter of which of the non-drivers had the most beer on the ferry, or who's got the thirstiest car...
