Hi chaps.

The g/f`s got interested in z3`s.
Been to see one,2.2 sport.

Every option on it etc,etc.

51 plate

79k

4 owners,The car is nearly mint apart from the back window milking up.
Is it worth £5800?

How good are they, some feed back would be cool.
Cheers.

I had a 51 plate car - I enjoyed it very much. The rear twitches under heavy breaking, but controllable. A lot of fun, but not that great as a motorway machine. Gets quite tiring when you drive it for a long time.

I had an e46 2 series with the 2.2 straight-six. I would avoid this engine. It is a nice unit but lacks tourque. Seeing as MPG and servicing costs are pretty much the same on all bmw straight-six engines, you may as well get the biggest one and enjoy it.
If you want lower running costs and are not bothered about performance, get on of the 4-cyl jobbies.

Cheers.

Agreed, they do sound nice, as do all the sixes.

It's a willing engine that is happy to rev and spins up freely. Oh, watch the oil. Mine seemed to enjoy slurping a fair bit in between services. It did it from new and BMW always said it was within normal tolerances.

Get the biggest 6 Cylinder model you can, none of them cost any more than each other to run.

be careful to check for accident damage, I looked at one which was suprisingly similar in appearance to that one and it had been in a bad bad prang.

The front chassis legs were still crumpled back and the front end had just been sort of hung in place and backfilled with weld. it wasnt pretty.

I spoke to the law about it and they werent interested as it had an MOT...

It was in the Newcastle upon tyne area, this was Xmas 2007.
