Yes, for 'tis her. The lady off of Britain's Got Talent.
She has received special acclaim, as far as I can see, for looking a bit backward (sorry, I apologise for this vocabulary but I genuinely don't know how to describe her) but singing like an angel. She did this in a competition with the other, shall we say, more normal-looking people on the programme who also sing like angels. That is to say, I wouldn't call her singing any better than others I have seen on the competition.
To me, this special acclaim is as appalling as ridiculing someone who is disabled or backward looking i.e. the contrast between her looks and her singing should not be a factor. An elephant in the room kind of thing. Why should she get special treatment because of her looks? I suppose Britney Spears [insert the name of any other good-looking celeb here] did and that this is just the way the world works.
Does anyone else feel the same way as me? There is a chance I may have been thinking about this too much.

I certainly didn't think she looked either backward or disabled, I thought she looked shy and lacking in social skills brought about by years of abuse and piss taking by people who live by her.
I wish her the very best and hope she goes far and makes a shed load of cash.

View on Ms Boyle - hmm - i do agree in the fact that she may well be getting "special" treatment for being a bit of an odd ball, but then again maybe she deserves it - I have to admit when she wandered on stage I was with the rest of the country who though "oh look another mentalist about to embaress herself on TV", and then it turned out that she could actually sing. I imagine it shut quite a few people up.
