Been lurking on here for a couple of weeks and posted on the USA section, thought I'd say 'Hi' here.
This is my 1969 Morris, 998cc that I bought last year.

Not really one for the purists as the previous owner painted it in primrose yellow to match his Frogeye Sprite
That said it was restored to a high standard including a full engine rebuild with a nice folder full of bills. The old gal is a bit slow with a stock 998cc+20 thou' but she holds good oil pressure so a stage 1 kit and a colour change may be on the cards to spice things up a bit. A nice bonus are the factory Mini Cooper recliners which apparently fetch $$$$ in the UK, very comfortable compared to the old upright ones.

Apologies for the pics, my camera is crap.

She looks lovely - I think the colour is very nice on her actually
What's it like, tooling about in a Mini on US roads? Whereabouts in the US are you?

I live in New Jersey, about half an hour west of New York City.
Driving the old gal over here can be a bit nerve racking at times - mainly due to the poor standard of driving by the locals, they'll cut you up, undertake you, nick your braking space and on the Interstate being overtaken by a 18 wheel semi truck and trailer at 80mph results in some interesting drafting effects -

I'm pretty much flat out at 65/70mph and with drum brakes all round heavy traffic makes for a few pucker moments - good fun though, gets plenty of attention - people taking pictures, girls love it with my brit accent etc
