What's the scam here....?

Had a text message from 07849.031.835 - it says this:

"Our records indicate u maybe entitled to 5000 pounds in compensation for your recent Accident, To claim just reply with CLAIM to this msg, 2 stop txt STOP"

Some sort of scam I know, (I've had no accident) but how does this one work? I have not replied to it!

Just seems like a standard mobile number? I'd imagine they're just speculating for leads.
