I had the misfortune of being followed to work this morning by an Impereza, a car that I don't particularly dislike, seems to do a lot for the money.
However, now these thing have dropped into the sub 4 grand bracket, every knob & his brother seem to have one.
Todays one insisted on making oncoming traffic swerve out of his way, just for the pleasure of sitting behind me. A series of small blue lights seem to have been left on his bonnet, Is this some form of xmas decoration ?
Also it seemed to be hissing at me, like a cement lorry doing hand brake turns. The least said about the illuminated foglights, borrowed from a light house, i presume, the better.
P.S. ITS NOT F*****G FOGGY !

Think fuel consumption and repairs might put you off.

And have you noticed how these 'cars' with the blue light thingy's, wether it be a Subaru, Corsa, Nova etc want to think they can race and actually beat you!!??...i find that a grin and an appropriately positioned middle finger sign is enough for those aholes, as you let them pass you, when you cant be bothered....

Having owned a 4.5 cerb and now a Griff 500, fuel consumption and repair costs are something I tend not to look at

Taking a leisurely spin the other night a 1.1 Fiesta revved up next to me at the lights with a couple of grinning idiots in baseball caps jumping up and down and pointing at the car. He WHEELSPUN away from the lights as i eased the baby away from the line, when i eventually rolled up to the 2nd set of lights where they were waiting they were laughing and pointing at me as I had been BEATEN away from the lights by them???? Hmmmmmm

My dear old dad never said a lot but when he did it was always a pearl of wisdom. I remember as an impressionable teenager getting really hacked off because he let some pre-max-power yoofs in a vintage crapi beat his (brand new) Lotus esprit turbo away from the lights (I'm showing my age now). I was practically screaming at him.. "why did you let them do that?" and he said..

"who's gonna believe them?"

one of the greatest things about cerbies is you have nothing to prove

(except with motorbikes, he he.)

you giant bunch of whingy girly hairdressers.

What is the point of buying a sports car and driving it like a Ford?

You don't have to hoon it all the time, but when someone wants a race at a traffic light, there should be a law against refusing.

Remember they may enjoy seeing the car light up as much as you enjoy driving it. No greater waste on this planet than seeing a true sportscar with an admittedly short lived engine die a slow and painful death at fiesta speeds.

Hold your heads LOW

What is more fun is letting them have their .001 seconds of glory away from the lights then going past them so fast the little nova they are standing still so that at the next set of lights you can be waiting cool and relaxed..

I had a laxxed type car, (can't remember what it was) pull up alongside me once at traffic lights at a set of cross roads I was in the left hand land they were on my right. The driver started giving it some wheezy throttle so I thought I bait him and did the same completely drowning out the bass beat they were also playing. They seemed up for it so I waited for the lights to change.......

When they did I jumped forward triggering them to go, they went screaming off down the road, I slowed turned left at the junction and drove off. I can't think what made me laugh more the thought of them thinking they had done me or the speed camera that was down the road set to get anything above 35mph.

Had quite a funny one a couple of weeks back. Took the Cerb out for one of those pointless drives (40 miles to get some milk!) and noticed that a Carlton GSI 3000 has been up my arse for a while. Thought nothing of it at first but it appeared that which ever way I went, he would follow.

By chance I happened to be passing the entrance to a dual carrageway so decided to teach him a lesson

He was still behind, we both accelerated away, out of first gear, into second and the GSI remained glued to my rear. Still close enough for me to see the driver and his mates thrilled expressions due to the fact that they could stay with a Cerbera..........

Then I pressed the throttle down the other half of the way,

Bye then!!!!!!!!

Having seen the title of this thread I feared the worst, but I'd like to congratulate you all for not turning this into a "let's slag of Subarus" thread.

Well done chaps - Cheers

There's a lovely scooby at my local windscreen fitters place .. racing red with absolutely gorgeous wheels on it .. no idea what model it is, but it's for sale so might take a test drive to see what the fuss is about
