Best way to introduce someone to F1

Assembled Pistonheads, I need you help.
My girlfriend of six months is starting to take an interest in F1 and motor racing in general. She's never been interested before - indeed, she wondered how cars driving around in a circle could be interesting - but having come to watch me race karts a couple of times is trying to learn more.
So far, Wikipedia and my enthusiastic ramblings have been her main source of inspiration - actually watching a race is proving difficult, because we live in the Middle East, where Sunday is a work day and we can't watch the events live. Additionally, telly coverage is pretty lame and internet downloads tend to take days.
Does anyone have any advice for good places to start filling her in (fnarr) on the history of F1 and the many different levels of interest that it provides? YouTube clips, web page articles, etc etc would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to bombard her with complicated stuff straight away for fear of scaring her off - so F1 For Dummies, if you like...

Believe it or not, she actually wants to know about car dynamics and wotnot. I spent last night explaining oversteer, understeer and the importance of weight distribution, using a cigarette box. And she seemed genuinely interested.Of course, it could all be an elaborate ruse to find out more about Button's lovely beard or the nice silver and red car that goes VRROOOOOOOOOM.

Ah, ok. Gran Turismo 4 is your friend. Can tweak setups and see how things actually make a difference. Might need to crank it between extremes to notice unless she has particularly sensitive hands when playing console games...
I actually suggested exactly that last night. I'm an Xbox man, so it means I now have an excuse to buy Forza and a steering wheel.
