I'd suggest The Phirm, I believe they're in Surrey. They have a great rep and do a lot of work on cars featured in Performance VW, and they do the technical advice for them.
I went to them for a chat about Revo for my Golf Edition 30 .... I didn't use them because I didn't end up using Revo - otherwise I would have ! The guy who runs it is a total enthusiast and nice bloke who was very knowledgeable and interested. I would have had no problem using them in the future ... just as I say, they do Revo and that's not what I went with in the end.
Slight snag might be I don't think Revo do anything for this engine ?
Superchips do a remap for it - that's who I ended up using for my GTi and have been very happy indeed ! Have a look at :

I considered chipping my V10 a few years ago. The word came back that if one is doing a good few miles in the car annually then it is not such a good idea.
The reasoning was that the torque post re-map is going to be 800 NM plus, have seen a number high as 850NM from some tuners also. This would give the gearbox and diffs a very hard time if full throttle is used regularly. The garage I got this info from looked after my 911 and so had no reason to put me off, given they knew I would have very probably gone for the re-map if it was safe!
I find the stock 750NM peak torque gives the traction control lots to think about in wet conditions, so 800NM plus will be savage in the wet at lower speeds. Also, my feeling is the drive train on these cars is quite fragile .... the front diff is a common failure I understand, and the transfer box is known to break also. I also got a cracked cylinder head last year on my then sub 50k mile motor, so chipping would be the last thing on my mind!!
Also, I find the stock car is plenty quick enough as it is and the brakes are just sufficient to control the 2.6 ton mass of the car and slow you down safely when enjoying spirited driving. Another slug of power / torque would tip things beyond fun and safe in my view, but everyone will have their own opinion on that!!
Warranty wise, I think you would get away with any gearbox / diff repairs, but if the engine blew they might check the ecu for any re-map before authorising the repair.
Has anyone actually chipped their V10 and could give some feedback after a decent amount of usage post mapping please?

MRC Tuning
Not in Surrey but well worth the drive to Banbury as they are bloody good at what they do.

He runs a chipped Touareg V10 and I am very happy with the Milltek sports exhaust he fitted to my Touareg V8.

This is really helpful info and well worth considering... thanks!
Oh and what's the difference between the V10 and the R50?
Evo tested a chipped v10 - check it out on their site. Stock model puts out 320+hp apparently.Oh and what's the difference between the V10 and the R50?
