I've just got mine back on the road after being on the drive for two years. These are the things I've done/changed;
Change oil and filter,
New air filter
Emptied the coolant, removed the rad and flushed the system through
New fan belt
New spark plugs
New brake fluid
New battery
Pushed as much old grease out of the joints as possible with new
Check and adjust brakes, I also sanded them slightly to remove some surface rust
Removed alternator and given it a good flush out with electrical contact cleaner
My rear subframe had rusted quite badly so I've changed that too
I also drained all of the remaining petrol from the tank and put some fresh in.
The dizzy cap, rotor arms and leads were fine as they were changed shortly before I took the car off the road and they showed no sign of wear. Basically a full service should see it up and running again, mine fired the 1st time and is running beautifully.
You're tyres might have squared off dependent on the air pressure. I pumped mine up to about 50psi and I've moved the car a couple of time so it's not sitting on the same place.
I've got a few rust patches which need sorting out but at the moment it's not garaged but it soon will be so I'll get them sorted then.
I'm loving having the car back on the road I've been out for a few blasts in it and it's making me wonder why I stopped using it in the 1st place. This is it after giving it's 1st polish
