Cossacks? if it's the game Im thinking of. Is that the one where you have to have a drummer and an officer for a group of troops?
Got fed up with that game VERY quickly, it just seems to be Age of Kings with the graphics turned down, and made slower, and more boringer. I remember once I saw an army coming to attack my base so I sent my army to counter. My army took about 5 minutes to get there, in which time the enemy had decimated half of my base.

Or that may be a different game.
