Are you allowed to advise other drivers about a lurking speed gun? I was wondering that very point as I was driving on the Frimley Road by the Crab & Dragon at 9:00 this morning...

Busy on Church Hill at 07:00 last Friday
Tucked up on the footpath but just enough room to pass.
Warning Signs out though.

They're doing both directions on Sheridan Road as well, just opp. Frimley Police station, i live right down the end, and must admit some people use that as a kind of grand prix cut-through to the high street, but they are displaying their signs and wearing their Hi-Viz stuff.

If you take a detour from the Crab and Dragon past the school and into Park Road - you will find regular gangs of 'community' speed check volunteers - complete with flasks, deckchairs and fluro jackets.

Rev your car as you approach (they hate that, they can't tell the difference between a quick blip of the throttle and actual speeding). Drives them wild it does... they LEAP to their feet, take aim, and 'observe' you. Then you can proceed past them at an annoying yes, and, I'm doing 15mph. Busybody-Feckwits.

I've been "caught" by the local community speed checkers here in Windlesham. By a neighbour too! that's her off my christmas card list

All they can do is send you a letter which caused much mirth over my tea and toast the other morning biggrintongue out
