king behave yourselves! It's not difficult! Get pissed, have a laugh, talk st but don't fk with other people or their cars. It fking irks me that certain pricks can't help but throw st at people's cars, people that they don't know, all because they think it's funny.
Try to have some fking respect for yourselves!
If I don't want to wheel spin my car in the middle of the street, I won't. If you think it's going to encourage me by lobbing a pint of beer on my car then prepare to be surprised because the only thing that will be spinning is your fking head!
I apologise to everybody who's going, who know the limits and have plenty of experience and don't want some random guy having a rant but sadly PH doesn't provide an exclusive forum for 'The Cock's At Le Mans'.

Im disabled, so Monday - Friday before the race weekend, I tend to drive my way around, as i find it much easier than killing myself walking to and from the track.
It is quite intimidating though when faced with about 500 people lining the road from Houx forcing you to stop, then when you wont act like an arse, they throw beer/water/piss at you.
One year i closed all the windows, but forgot the sunroof, and promptly got drowned. Now i didnt really care, it was hot, I have a leather interior, and my car is a 20 year old volvo 740, but even so! I had the westfield at the time too, but that stayed in the garage for the week. I would never take anything to le mans that i valued at all.

With mass disapproval around them, it makes it less likely.
Of course I am fully aware that what we don't want is mass brawls, getting a bit too much like football environment. Surely everyone who goes to Le Mans loves cars. No one is going to fight over whether they support audi or peugoet. And from what i've seen all nationalities appear to get along together at motor races.
People could gesture the person to stop whilst being non confrontational.
I never understand why someone would throw beer into cars? The waterpistols etc (with water in) I can go along with, but not drenching the interior of the cars.
That bloke who was pushing people off mopeds mentions on PH, I don't think I could hold back from 'having a word' with him.
I know for sure if I saw someone damaging my car or throwing beer into it, i don't think I could hold back. If it a group of 10-20 drunken blokes then you have to look at your options and it it is hard to protest against them.

As this is a recurring theme year on year.
I just sent the ACO and Radio Le Mans a quick e mail pointing out the usual problems and suggested running some form of promotion of respect amongst other fans and their property.
A little thing, but if people complain and point out problems then there may be a solution.
If the majority of people are decent then surely the minorities actions can be contained.

Where you draw the line with these antics is really down to the individual. Typically, I'd say most people say have all the fun you like but don't cause injury to people or damage their property.
For me, I am a bit less forgiving. IMO, LM has exploded into a carnival where the racing is frankly secondary to the other goings on. If you want to get pissed as a fart, act lairy, eat kebabs and go to the funfair then go to fking Blackpool and leave LM for the people who actually realise there's a fking race on.
I'm all for a few beers and am hardly flat-cap brigade, but I go to enjoy a motor race not a fking pikey carnival with beople getting paralytic and acting like s.

There was one particular guy (who was a complete arse!) that unfortunately had a PH t-shirt on while trying to push over a motor home! Not exactly the image that PH wants to show. (definitely a minority though!) kers.Though I agree with your sentiment!

hey all new to the forums and im a 1st timer to Le Mans this year. I guess this is a regular occruance at motorsport events, back in the day at Bathurst 1000, if u didnt do a burnout or somthing (cool)Your car would basically be totalled, and i mean ppl would try and turn your car over and do all sorts of crazy stuff. Its sad to see peolpe with no respect to other peolpes property. Furthermore it annoys the st out of me how peolpe go to races just to get totally drunk! some dont even care about the god damn race and only turn up to get blind and cause trouble. Dont see why u would spend a week at Le Mans just to get hammered with alcohol.
