I have the Cup ECU left over from Scaramanga before it was MOTECd and subsequently sold. I never even knew I had one fitted, but it has the Cup stickers all over it and Scaramanga made 291bhp before all the work was done on it (this is with a Cup bypass pipe and Cup airbox as well).

So, a useful hike. Question is, how much is it worth? I might as well sell it - it's of no use to me.

Similarly, I have the Darth Vader wing I temporarily fitted to Scaramanga in 2001/2002, essentially an RSR lookalike but in fibreglass not carbon. Quite well finished but gathering dust in the garage, how much is it worth?

I'd guess at 200-300 GBP for the ECU and 300 GBP for the wing.

Depends what folks will pay, as ever.

I'll give you 50 quid the lot and save you some ebay fees

That's why I don't shop at Merkin Melv's Porsche Parts Emporium.

Scottster had a decent (Techart?) biplane for a 993 that was up for 350 GBP and no buyer, so it all depends whether your merkin is blowing in the right direction or not.

Or the guy who fitted the Motec for you could sell them on your behalf through his most excellent web site and charge you a pitifully low commission........

Yes, I believe it is residing in his garage. Near Gerrard's Cross if that is your nearish. Colour is black from what I remember.

And to think you used to sport one on your chin.

I think the new clean cut Melv is an improvement - shedding excess weight and all that. That face ferret was adding unnecessary ounces.

Ahh but its well known ferrets scare away Badgers Dom 'tis a well known fact in Porsche circles- for example Don Palmer doesnt have one for fashion mate- its a finely honed Badger avoidance device, its an Obi one thing with 3 elements-

:- growing a ferret- allows you to- use the force, which enables you to- avoid the Badgers

Thanks for the input guys. I know how much to ask when I get a chance to post an ebay item or ad somewhere.

Incidentally, any sadness at missing Scaramanga will be mitigated tomorrow when I pick up the Academy car. Hurrah!

Maurice.

I looked at Scottster`s 993 rear wing. It really is a nice bit of kit. I almost went for it, but fouund an OE Porsche RS number for sale in Germany about two days later and went for that instead, twice the money but its what I wanted!

Have a look at it...
