Cross posted from SELOC:

After a great day at both Donnington and Silverstone I woke up this morning to find that my beloved Elise has been
stolen from my garage in the Newbury area.
Reg Number W389 NTX

I would be extremely gratetful if anyone who might spot this
car could let me know.

Sorry to hear that... Do you think you were followed or could it just be unfortunate coincidence?

One has been spotted in Thatcham Berks so if you see a W389 NTX near there call the police.

a majority of the scandal s160's live in the hants/surrey area...

i'm amazed that someone has nicked it... if i had to put in my 2p's worth... i would say that it is probably already in a container on it's way to russia or similar

nicking a highly conspicuous car which will need respraying and contains numerous parts which will show up like a beacon if offered for sale (such as the seats, engine, wheels etc), doesn't make too much sense.

i would often drive my old scandal 160 wearing a hoody.. especially if i had left my curlers in, or hadn't washed it from the day before... means nothing!

My wife saw the car this afternoon and after an 'incident' with the
vehicle after the BiB's flooded the area. wife is in the copshop later giving statements. Vehicle condition is presently unknown. I might have to buy the wife a bottle later if it works out good news................fingers crossed

These cars are much sort after in Europe. I would be happy to put the info all over the French sites, but I think the VIN number would be more useful than the reg.

Tell me, was the car a WVTA or a SVA 160S?

For europe only the former is really possible to register. To be honest though, if the person was just doing track days out here, no would check it.

I go to a few track days out here and have never seen a green one but if I do, I will get'em!

Regards

pmsl... wearing shoes just gets in the way of the delicate interaction between my athlete's foot and the throttle pedal!

as for the trevor... all fixed at the mo... well actually, that's a bit of a lie... there is no speedo in the car at the mo' as this has been sent off to fixed... bit of a grey area as you don't need a speedo to pass a mot, but you do need one when driving on the highway?!?... tom tom is my friend!

Is this the ex-Haverford west 160?

If so it's SVA and so no use in Europe (if officially registered...).

Distinguishing marks would be mint and original nearly everywhere. Pretty unusual for a 160!

Hope situation is resolved OK.
