I notice on the drivers door on my 97 griff that when closed it is slightly proud of the body line from about two thirds down the door running out to about 5mm
the passenger's door is spot on . When the car was having a paint job recently I asked the shop to see if they could re-align it, they did try but with no success. They tried shimming the hinges as per factory instructions, there has been no accident damage so unless the car was delivered with this door fit I don't see how it has got to this state unless of course the chassis has moved (it hasn't) or the door has warped. Iam told that fitting a new door panel might no be a cure!! very strange. anyone else got any ideas or have corrected a similar problem.
