Popped across yesterday.

Stupidly stunning place. (But only in the sunshine)

..and if anybody thinks these colours are not right, it's their monitor. I've desaturated some - as people won't believe me. The colour of the sea rivals the Indian Ocean... here in the UK!

Paul: Anything I build falls down. (Hence I didn't build the Caterham!)

Craig... be warned, if you get sun (like wot I did) then the camera will think the sand is snow (It's all a bit confusing when the land is lighter than the sky) - so shoot raw if you can and be aware that you may well have to add shadow 'pp'. Every camera I've taken there has had real trouble with the bright conditions.

ETA... like you didn't know that! smile

Wonderful place Lewis/Harris.

It's the only place where you can have a beach that beautiful, with turquiose sea due to the white sand and be the only one on it.

In July.

Wearing a thick jumper.

Lovely shots as always.

Both... the one with the two rocks is the D-Lux. The rest the D3.

Looks like that's another place to add to my 'must visit' list!

Nice set of pics Steve. Good to see Charlie enjoying himself too.

Wow - that shows just how good that Leica lens is.... and comparing the cost of D-Lux v the D3, it makes one think.

I'm really impressed with the Leica - as I mentioned elsewhere, it slightly over-sharpens, but the metering is pretty impressive. (Dog pics also with Leica)
