I think I know 2 workers at the ultima factory

yep, received my kit and did some undrilling, deassembling and unpacking.
One must be chinese, that is the one that is putting the wrap around the alloy panels, that is for sure some serious packing
and I think I can rivet them faster than unpack them........
And there must be one Orang Utan working there doing nothing but putting the nuts and wahers on the the door hinges, boy you need long
arms do unlock the nuts............only way to remove the doors which I think is a good idea for taking off the dash part of the frame.
I am not sure if Ultima has ever heard of the fat head rivets but I am for sure not going to use their washer and rivet method...........

After unpacking Ultima's stuff for the 11 months that it took me to do the build I agree with your statemant about the packing Ultima does. When I grow up I want a dealership for packing materails, Ultima will be the first people I talk to. All that said not one part was scratched on my entire build. Lee
Hi Spatz,
Glad to hear you got the kit delivered. How did you get it to Germany... shipped in a crate? Picked it up at the factory? Cost? You can mail me the details if you want.
Will be looking at your build progress.
I probably will try a fly over to the UK (Geneva-Birmingham) and visit the factory at the open day in August.
All the best
Daniel

no unpacking only the stuff I need right now. will turn the car for underneath panelling maybe today,
have ordered vents for the battery compartment (thanks STIG for the hint) so water can drain.
upper panels are all ready for riveting but have not done yet as I have started working on a modification for
the speaker install. Will post pics if I get it done the way I planned it, will improve the sound quality a lot
as the car is not offering a sealed compartment for good sound reproduction.
The panelling however is not the biggest fun, glad when this part is finished.

I have no time for this I want the car on the road, so I will go the cut out route
BTW you can drain a river through these louvres, but I heard it is raining quite a lot up there......
what is that shiny black on your front alloy panel ? KOHLEFASER ?
