You can turn the aluminium collar on the loom by pushing the ribs with a screwdriver in an anticlockwise direction , it is a bayonet style fixing so after a reasonably hard start is quite easy to turn . When released you can push the coupling downward to expose (partially at least) the connectors so you can check continuity through the small gap between the door and the shut .

PS. To recouple the loom remove the door and twist coupling back together

Magic, cheers Plasticman,

Right got collar off and pulled plug through hole in door, checked loom for continuity A ok.....However checked pins for 12v supply for window motor neutral slightly tarnished....cleaned pin up,and sprayed with an electrical inhibiter.
I actually got the socket out as well(female)witch is only held in by a plastic lock nut and sprayed that as well just to be sure. All back together and working, now all i need to do now is put socket back and loom in door.....
Happy days....lol biggrin
