For that money I'd get two helmets.
Karting needs a full-face, any quality bike lid will do. Fit and comfort are your priorities here as there are no 'unsafe' BS or CE marked helmets. £100 will get you something more than adequate.
For track days an open-face rally helmet is far more practical, it's much easier to hear and be heard than when wearing a full-face. Helmets for use in cars are constructed differently too (supposed to be more resistant to repeated impacts); they also tend to have smaller shells so you're less likely to bang your head getting in and out. They start as cheaply as THIS and go up to very silly money, but again, fit and comfort are the important things.

I dont disagree with the advice given above; but I would remind the OP that trackday organisers/venue owners may continue to insist on attendees wearing an MSA approved lid next year. This year thatd be a BS6658 TypeA helmet; but next year itll be a TypeA/F, because the MSA will be requiring a fireproof lining from next season...
