Have have just taken the front brakes apart, cleaned, and replaced, and on putting them back together noticed that there is a big gap between the pad and the piston housing in the inside pad (shown in photo with pencil pointing to the gap). I have checked the other side (which I have not yet taken apart) and it is the same, so I am sure this is just another of those TVR things, but thought it best to check...


Thanks for the responses, it just seemed strange that the shaped bit of the pad which holds it in place is not in line with the "raised" bit of the piston housing, so it seems to be "floating" rather then gripping it. I agree that as the pads wear, the inner pad will move further from the point on the casing which looks to have the right shape to fit it. Oh well, as long as the thing continues to stop!!!
