Tamora dials gone crazy!

Get this, the tacko & speedo dials have gone mad, well working their way incrimantally round in the wrong direction respectively
They seem to rotate a few degrees when you fire up the ingition, as you can hear the little electronic sqeltch before the 3 beeps of the rev indication system sound.
Anyone have a clue or good starting point?

Its the zero sensor playing up or the ribbon cable that has come loose. Remove the black surround from round the dials you can see the ribbon cable down the centre of the dials, give it a push with your finger. Failing that remove the clocks & check the cable is inserted correctly.
