1st time slaloming > guess like Autocross. Event premise is more fun than serious competition, but runs will be timed if you want to see how you get on with the other TVRs and porsches.

£25 for day's entry with possibly upto 18 runs

Quite liked the sound of an autocross course, but to be honest reading the PH thread has put me off... and unfortunatley I'm too loud for the Odiham one too...

That's what I'm expecting Paul smile My first, so going to find out what it's all about and hopefully enjoy it...if not, never again. Should think your Borla sound'd be fine Dave as it's mostly low Hz sound...would only expect extreme exhaust/ lack of set ups would be barred, like is the case on the louder trackdays. But for answers to all these questions email the Meeting Sec: Aaron Booth aaron2.booth@hotmail.co.uk

Pal with experience of the event, that tipped me off about this, had around 18 runs previously. The £25 payment includes the day membership fee of the hosting club.

smile R888s with less than 1/2mm tread before the event (after Odiham) and probably less than 1/2mm rubber after the Slalom hehe Still close to 1.6mm on the fronts though...that's almost 1.6mm...

rolleyes

So you drove the car home from Odiham on less than 1/2mm tread... Then drove to this event, trashed them even more, and then drove home again on less than 1/2mm rubber... Am I the only one who doesn't think this is particularly sensible behaviour! Not to mention the fact that they were illegal for road use!

If you're going to play, Let's play safe please Pete! driving

I'm hoping as it doesn't actually say he drove home on them that he changed them at each event, Please ZS say it is so.

If not then that is just crazy and stupid IMHO,

you lot make it sound like you've never heard/seen of anyone drive on slicks getting to a race event.....many do. i guess you think it's always mad to exceed the speed limit on all occassions too? yes it's a risk if the road gets soaked, which on both days it didn't when travelling to from the events, as the forecast predicted...so you drive slow if that happens (aquaplaning doesn't happen at all speeds)- same as when the tyre is starting stripping - 20 miles of slow 'sunday' driving home. fwiw there was a load more tread before odiham anyway...
