Not a major problem but....
Discussion
Car has just been serviced but when in say, 4th gear at low speed and just wanting to overtake someone, you stamp your foot down and there seems to be a flat spot, around 1500-200 rpm mark. then it takes off like a rocket again.
Anyone had similar experience? what was cause and cure of the problem?

Probably quite normal. Stamping your foot down at 1500rpm in 4th gear to overtake in most cars with throttle bodies the size of the S6 will have that effect I imagine. Anyone had similar experience? what was cause and cure of the problem?
Not a nice way to treat your engine either come to that..

Hi - mine doesn't have that flat spot, and to me it doesn't sound normal. Not a big issue though as you say. It could be many things which those who work with these engines every day will just go around checking off 1by1.
Get it into the service house you use, & I'm sure they will sort it.

Suprised at the number of folk who drive in this strange manner..Get it into the service house you use, & I'm sure they will sort it.

If the service house being used is any use, it should not have come from the last service with a flat spot that can be dialled out surely??
Whilst the ECU is programmed to to ensure the right amount of fuel is injected for any given rpm/throttle setting, simply slamming the throttle may cause a problem because the momentary change in fueling will not be right for the airflow.
The other thing, is that it is not a very prgressive way to drive...it might be something you do for a laugh "to see what happens"?
