I'm soon to be having the tuscan style front lights fitted. I have gone for the 2 pod style without the sperate side light hole.

The lights I have are the main beam and side light unit as 1 and then the 2nd light/lamp unit is for the dipped beam.

I want to buy a HID kit and was wondering about other lights. the hid kit is just 2 bulbs for the dipped beam which will illuminate one lamp on one pod but then the other light, housing the sidelight and main beam will be lit with the side light and/ or full beam

What sidelight bulbs are others using or can recommend to try and match the HID colour etc.

I think i will be going for a 6000k ice white colour but toying with the 8k ones. I want it to look nice and original and not too bluey like an aftermarket mod.

any advice appreciated

i used HIDs4u a few years ago, i believe the systems have got a little better and the ballasts smaller. they were fantastic on advising me on which kit. i do have these as the side light bulbs:http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/ultimate-501t10194-watt-ultra-xenon-white-p-1684.html?osCsid=5e63196f46fc35497b8b9828623b6790

very bright.

Yes they're a direct replacement. I would stick at 6000K max for the HIDs, anything higher looks too chavvy. This will also match 'cool white' LEDs.

yeah i think im going to stick with the 6k white light. subtle cheers guys. will get some led's ordered.

what about full beams? i know they arent used much and no one should see them but are there any better bulbs out there which will increase amount of light or brightness etc compared to stock h7 full beamers

With brand new lights I think you'll be fine with the std H7s imo.

If you're visiting ultraleds you might want to consider upgrading the number plate lights. If you PM me I'll tell you what to buy (I'm using the phone, forums blocked at work)

yess, but you might want to try cutting the hold down a bit. well on mine i had to.

metal casing on the Bulb was touching the metal in the holder.
