Snapped dipstick

I have snapped the handle of the dipstick. Is the replacement from Noble or can I get it as a Ford part? 2.5 engine.

lol. i had the same problem. kerridges charged me around £40 plus postage and they had no idea which of the 3 possible dipsticks to supply. luckily the first option fitted.

not sure what its from though... have you got it out or is the original stuck in the hole with no handle? if so drill carefully into any left over plastic handle remains and screw a small screw in. grab the end of the screw with narrow pliers and it should come out. thats what my local garage did.

Mine snapped while in for servicing and I'm pretty sure they said it was from a Cougar engine!!!!!!!

Suprised me as well. Then again who's to say that they are not all the same length?

kerridges, when i bought mine they said there are 3 types of dipstick used in different models, all different dipsticks. telling them it was a 2.5L didn't help apparently but their first guess was actually correct.

cant help with the part number though. unless it says anything on the stick itself. worth a nose i suppose - i'll update in a while.
