Any of you guy’s recommend a good place in the midlands for getting my OZ alloys refurbished. They are a polished finish, and are quite bad. So i think they will need diamond cutting and lacquering.

There's a place in Wolverhampton that David Gerald uses - cost about £195 per wheel (plus VAT) - they may give you the number

Thank you for your enquiry. We are glad you are pleased with the wheels. Alloy wheels cost approximately £50 each to refinish, this includes V.A.T. and carriage. We do not do split rims, or chrome. Charges vary for special paint finishes, anodised wheels and welding. We can arrange a courier for you, or supply details of agents in your area. For local customers we operate a day service by prior appointment. For further details of any of our services please call us on 01732 367771.

Thanks
Spit & Polish

Had a reply from my enquiry, my front 2 were refurbished after the vandalism incident. I want the others done now.....

Thanks for the info guys. I'll phone DG first i think. I do have all my parts off them, also give them afew jobs, so I'll see what they say. I do know a place in Wolverhampton on the A41, could well be them. They quoted me £35 per wheel, but don't know anybody that has had wheels done their, so are just being careful.

I've done some research here. For your info Spit & Polish don't refurb the OZ split rim's.

Could be A1 wheel refurb in Wolverhampton 01902 871422, they were one of two companies I found that said they could refurb my OZ split rims. The other company that came recommended was www.rimzrefurb.co.uk they sent me some pics of refurbed TVR rims and looked v.good. Haven't had them done yet so please let me know how you get on?

Just phoned DG, yes they do have their wheels done at A1 in Wolverhampton. They also quoted me £120 per wheels to take them over and have them done. Which is a little pricey i thought. Apparently it is the place i know on the A41 between Wolverhampton and Bilston, who had previously quted me £35 per wheel (8 months ago) - not a bad mark-up from DG though!

My OZ's are just 8 spoke polished and lacquered, not split rims. Will be in Wolverhampton Monday and Tuesday, so will take my wheels in and give them ago.

Thanks for the info Glena, will let you know how i get on.

On subject of wheels, the fronts on my Griff 4.3 are the original 5 spoke TVR made in Belgium by Amil.

There is very slight annoying vibration at 70mph caused according to Team Proactive (now defunct) by them being distorted or buckled.

Can this be balanced out or even skimmed?

Anyone any ideas as I'd like to keep the originals or can you recommend similar alternative style which would fit.

Mmmmm! sorry mate but I phoned them again today to confirm. I doubt if your rims are actualy "split" rims. Have you got approx 30 visible bolts holding them together?
