I think the clutch and concentric slave cylinder have bitten the dust on my mk5 Zetec S. I've sourced the parts, is a clutch change foolish to attempt on a driveway with 'moderate' mechanical skills? I've done a couple of clutches on Saxo's, but I'm told they're much easier and the Fiesta is a faff!

Any thoughts?

It wouldn't be too bad to take the box out on your drive. No need to take the subframe out and there's plenty of space to get at all the various bolts. Not as easy as a Saxo but still one of the easiest boxes to take out a ford.

I wimped out. Got it booked in tomorrow at the place that did our Chim. £100 labour if I supply the parts. Times are hard, but it's still worth paying instead of rolling around on the floor with a gurt heavy box! Not to mention any job I've attempted on a Ford usually ends in tears because something is rust up or a bolt snaps, or I don't have the 42mm socket to undo the O/S upper engine mount (whats with that??? 42mm! Why?)

Cheers for help though.
