Agree that the 'blick' isn't really helping the overall look...
And I would heartily agree... The velocity at which that car disappeared stage right from my rear view mirror before an encounter with the scenery indicates buyer beware.... Anyone who thinks it's a nice buy should discuss what needed replacing (or more importantly why it was considered uneconomic) with Beak on SELOC.

Thats interesting Janitor. I have been looking at the classifieds and this car caught my eye.
I did start to get a bit suspicious when i saw the advert on SELOC and then also found it on Autotrader (as a dealer ad). The user on SELOC makes mention of the tree imprint being removed from the car, in his profile.
That was enough for me. Which is a shame as the car is fairly local and i love the look of the Sports Racer.

Bit of a difference between slagging a car off and giving a heads up on missing information: the car was involved in a fairly serious off and consequently an insurance write off. That meant a lot of damage on what was at the time a fairly new car. I'd want to know the extent of the damage, see the insurance company assessors report, see before photos (the assessor would have taken these), and know who did the repair. The fact that the car would have been recorded as a Cat C or D materially affects its value now and a sell-on time.Seem to remember this happening a couple of years ago and it all ending in tears and threats of violence .
Tricky - yes, thanks for the guarded words, but I'm not looking to start anything daft... it's just that the car meant the world to me at the time and I know Beak loved it too until 'the incident'. I would hate anyone to go and buy their 'dream Lotus' only to find out when it's all too late that such a stunning car is not all it seems

What is the deal with Cat D/C, i.e. do you have a choice to take payment or do you have get repaired and live with it if you had a accident of this scale ?
