The 308 is ready for its MOT

After what turned into quite a big winter rebuild the 308 is ready for its MOT and is booked in for Tuesday. What started of with a new exhaust turned into a new exhaust, new manifolds, replacing all the petrol pipes, replacing all the water hoses, rebuilding the heater matrixs, rebuilt water pump, new fuel pump, 4 rebuilt carbs, recon alternator and a rebuilt fuel tank. I dont think you could have understood the sinking feeling I had when I first started her up, I had left a hose clip in the v of the motor that then found its way into the cam belt and snaped the belt.
It looked very much like it would not be back on the road for its 30th birthday on 1/05/2009. Stripped her down and lucky for me it hadnt put the valves through pistons or bent any thing.
Going to give her a polish and a engine detail and hopefully away we go.
