When is it out? The trailers make this look like a very good film indeed.

Google!

It does look good, however Abrams doesn't really have what I'd class as a great CV for creating films/programmes with some depth that I get on with. Just a personal opinion, as I'm more than aware that there are many that love his work.

I was lucky enough to go the premiere on Monday night, and I’m pleased to report the film is excellent, and Abram’s has done a really good job in rebooting the franchise. Casting is very good, especially Zachary Quinto as Spock and Karl Urban as Dr McCoy (Who is uncannily like DeForest Kelley), and the film doesn’t stop from start to finish thanks to a good fast paced script.

As a fan of the Star Trek films I would defiantly consider this one up there with Khan, Undiscovered Country and First Contact.

I get the feeling now the principle characters have been introduced we could be seeing the start of a great new series of films.

All in all defiantly the best film I’ve seen this year.

8th May it's released. Bugger, that's ages away. Thought with the premiere just happening it might be sooner.

Getting quite excited about this now, franchise needed a relaunch and that latest trailer is putting hairs on the back of my neck.

Got IMAX tickets booked for the release weekend.

It is a really good film, fast paced and cleverly done with a few 'trek' in-jokes as well.

I watched it at the cinema on tuesday thanks to seefilmfirst.com and my Gf's heat magazine of all things!

I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. Even if you are not into the star trek franchise I think you'd get something good out of this film.

Id.

Right, this is out this week (and is fantastic by all accounts) but answer me this film nerds...

What is the music on the trailer? Sounds like something from the Dark Knight but I can't find it on the soundtrack or Spotify?

Loved it.

Bit of a mish-mash at first, but then so are most 'origin' films.

McCoy is the star of the show if you ask me. Are you out of your Vulcan mind?!

I almost thought the film switched when Scotty was introduced, went too light at that point, overall well worth a view though!

Thought it was good, nice to see the way the characters met and how they became friends.

Guess this is the first of a long line of further films.

Hopefully seeing this tonight, really looking forward to it.

It's the first film that I have really been excited about for a while.

I was lucky enough to have tickets for the opening day of Star Wars Episode 1 at Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood - site of the hand prints and of course the term 'blockbuster' as this was coined when the queue for Jaws reached around the block.

If you think applause is bad, just the first couple of notes of the Star Wars theme and the background text flowing up the screen started a twenty second spontaneous standing ovation and waving of light sabers.

This was the start of something as every baddy that was killed brought clapping and cheering.

I still don't understand it - although I thought it was just americans. Maybe americans and geeks.
